CFAO Mobility Côte d’Ivoire, listed on the BRVM as CFAO Motors CI, reported CFAF3.96 billion in net profit for the first half of 2026, down 27% from CFAF5.42 billion a year earlier. The company’s report, dated September 12 and released to the market on October 30, shows earnings declining even as sales of new vehicles in Côte d’Ivoire increased.

The distributor’s revenue edged up 0.7% to CFAF91.83 billion, from CFAF91.18 billion in the first half of 2025. Operating profit fell more sharply, by 22.5% to CFAF5.82 billion, while profit from ordinary activities declined 24.4% to CFAF5.39 billion. The figures point to weaker profitability despite broadly stable turnover.

A stronger market for new vehicles

New-car sales in Côte d’Ivoire reached 16,328 vehicles in the first six months, compared with 15,185 in the same period of 2025, an increase of 7.5%. CFAO Mobility reported a 38% share of that market. Suzuki led the brands it distributes with 2,688 vehicles sold, followed by Toyota with 2,444.

The company also distributes several other brands, including Mitsubishi, Peugeot, Citroën and BYD. Management expects favourable trading conditions in the second half, supported by its order book and subject to wider market developments.
