Fuel distributors in Morocco have planned a cut of 20 centimes per litre in diesel prices for Friday 16 October, with no change to petrol prices, according to a trade source quoted on Thursday 15 October by Le Site Info. The adjustment was announced for midnight between Thursday and Friday.
This 0.20-dirham cut would save 10 dirhams on a purchase of 50 litres. Prices vary, however, between brands and cities, as Le360 notes, which also reported the announced cut.
The reduction equals a quarter of the 80-centime increase applied to diesel at the start of October. At that previous revision, petrol had risen by 39 centimes per litre, according to records and information published on 2 October by Le360.
