Lear booked $8 million in costs linked to power cuts in Tunisia in the third quarter of 2026. This expense appears in the financial report published on 30 October for the period ended 3 October.
The figure gives an accounting measure of the consequences of the interruptions for the US equipment maker, without constituting an estimate of losses for the whole Tunisian industry. The $8 million for the quarter is already included in the same amount presented for the first nine months of the financial year.
This local charge is part of the accounts of a group that supplies car manufacturers with seating and electrical systems technologies. Worldwide, Lear recorded $5.773 billion in revenue and $136.6 million in net profit attributable to the group in the third quarter.
