Petroci says the supply of butane gas to the market is continuing after the leak fire that broke out on 31 October at its Vridi facility in Abidjan. In a statement reproduced by Sika Finance, the company's management says the fire was brought under control and extinguished at 9:46.

The incident had broken out at 7:25 on the return line of sphere 1. The emergency plan was activated, with support notably from the Société ivoirienne de raffinage, Gestoci and military firefighters. No deaths are to be reported, according to the company.

The announced continuity concerns a product distributed notably to households in bottles. In its presentation of this activity, Petroci mentions a filling centre at Vridi and another in Bouaké, as well as the sale of bulk butane to users equipped with tanks.
