How do you estimate a share’s return?

Enter the purchase price, sale price, dividends per share, number of shares and fees. The tool combines dividend income with the capital gain or loss, then deducts the fees entered.

Total return and annualised return

Total return expresses the result as a percentage of the amount invested, including fees. If you enter a holding period, annualised return gives an equivalent annual growth rate. Dividends are not assumed to be reinvested and taxes are not calculated automatically.
