Banque internationale pour le commerce et l’industrie de la Côte d’Ivoire (BICICI) reported net profit of CFAF31.44 billion for the first nine months of 2026, a 14.7% increase from CFAF27.40 billion a year earlier. The improvement reflects stronger banking income even as net lending to customers edged lower.
Net banking income reached CFAF65.17 billion through September, up 12.1% from CFAF58.12 billion in the corresponding period of 2025. The bank said its interest margin increased 15.2% and net fee income rose 6.7%, supporting growth in operating income. Recurring pre-tax profit climbed 15.4% to CFAF34.85 billion.
Deposits rise while lending slips
Customer deposits stood at CFAF996.28 billion on September 30, up 9.1% from CFAF912.88 billion a year earlier. The increase strengthened the bank’s deposit base at a time when its outstanding net customer loans were moving in the opposite direction.
Net loans fell 1.2% to CFAF520.79 billion. BICICI plans to maintain its commercial momentum in the final quarter while keeping risk costs and administrative expenses under control, according to its latest operating report.
