Côte d’Ivoire construction company SETAO narrowed its net loss to CFAF346.4 million in the first nine months of 2026, from CFAF477.1 million a year earlier, an improvement of 27%. Revenue rose 15% to CFAF3.96 billion, according to the results released to the regional market on October 30.
The figures show a marked recovery since mid-year. At the end of June, SETAO had generated just CFAF680.3 million in revenue and posted a CFAF1.82 billion net loss. Comparing its half-year and nine-month accounts shows around CFAF3.28 billion in sales and approximately CFAF1.47 billion in net profit during the third quarter alone, sharply reducing the accumulated deficit.
The improvement also narrowed the nine-month operating loss to CFAF346.3 million, from CFAF456.1 million in the same period of 2025. It comes as the company advances a major construction contract involving the second phase of the restructuring, rehabilitation and equipment of Yopougon University Hospital in Abidjan. SETAO says the mobilisation advance was fully paid in July, while a work order issued on July 31 brought the project into effect.
For the full year, SETAO maintains its revenue forecast of CFAF6.5 billion. Sales recorded through September represent roughly 61% of that annual target.
