Gold producer Asante Gold has secured an additional month from its lenders and other financing counterparties to raise at least US$100 million in new funding. Under the agreement announced on October 30, 2026, waivers linked to its financing arrangements have been extended from October 31 to November 30.

The extension involves lenders under Asante’s senior and mezzanine facilities, a purchaser of future gold production under a streaming agreement and a hedging counterparty. Their decision gives the Ghana- and Canada-listed miner more time to work with its financing partners on a longer-term funding solution.

Asante says it is assessing several ways to secure the required funds. Talks with its creditors and other financial counterparties continue as the company seeks to strengthen the financing arrangements supporting its mining operations.

A second deadline extension since September

The funding timetable was previously revised on September 30. At that point, Asante said it had agreed terms with Fujairah Holding, which needed more time to complete its internal approval process. Its financing partners consequently moved the US$100 million funding deadline from September 30 to October 31. They also extended the deadline for a certificate detailing the cost to complete its projects to March 31, 2027.

Asante operates the Bibiani and Chirano gold mines in western Ghana and is advancing its Kubi gold project. Its shares trade as ASG on the Ghana Stock Exchange and as ASE on Canada’s TSX Venture Exchange.
