In Mauritius, the manufacturing producer price index gained 0.8 point in September 2026, according to the bulletin published on 30 October by Statistics Mauritius. It reached 105.5 points, compared with 104.7 in August.

The institute mainly attributes this rise to food and beverages, repair and installation of machinery and equipment, clothing and other manufactured products.

The August level has also been revised. The bulletin of 30 September put it at 104.5 points, 0.2 point lower than the new estimate. The September increase is therefore measured from the revised level, and the figures remain provisional.

The series uses as its base the average for July 2025 to June 2026, equal to 100, and applies weights from 2023. This framework has applied since July 2026, with broader coverage, in line with the methodological change announced in the official publication programme.
