Egypt kept its petroleum product prices unchanged on Thursday 15 October, following the quarterly review by its automatic pricing committee, the Ministry of Petroleum and Mineral Resources announced.
Petrol with an octane rating of 95 remains priced at 24 Egyptian pounds per litre, compared with 22.25 pounds for the 92 rating and 20.75 pounds for the 80 rating, according to the schedule published by the ministry. Diesel and kerosene each remain at 20.50 pounds per litre.
The committee reviewed changes in the exchange rate and the Brent crude price between July and September 2026, comparing them with the previous quarter. It also took into account developments in international petroleum product markets and tariff adjustments already applied.
The review of the schedule follows a decision by the Council of Ministers to resume the committee's work, the statement said.
