Guinea-Bissau is seeking CFAF7.5 billion from the West African regional government securities market on Monday 2 November 2026, through a combined auction of 364-day Treasury bills and three-year bonds. The new sale follows a similar-sized operation two weeks earlier, when the bonds carried a weighted average yield of 8.10%.
Under the tender notice issued by UMOA-Titres on 28 October, the bills mature on 1 November 2027, while the bonds are due for repayment on 3 November 2029 and carry a fixed annual coupon of 6.25%. Investors will determine the bill rates through their bids, which must be submitted by 10:30 UTC, or 11:30 a.m. in Cotonou.
Three-year bonds led the previous sale
At the 19 October auction, Guinea-Bissau’s Treasury accepted CFAF7.5 billion out of CFAF8.534 billion submitted by investors. Three-year bonds accounted for CFAF6.548 billion of the accepted bids, with a weighted average yield of 8.10%. The remaining CFAF952 million came from 364-day bills, whose weighted average yield was 5.65%.
Monday’s auction offers another gauge of regional financial institutions’ appetite for the country’s debt at short and medium maturities. Bids are submitted through the SAGETIL-UMOA platform, with settlement scheduled for 3 November under the issuer’s published timetable.
